Why People Choose to Pay Privately

They want to start now. Funding pathways involve assessments, approvals and waiting. Paying privately means starting this week.

They are waiting for funding. An NDIS application or aged care assessment can take months. Many people start privately in the meantime rather than lose that time, then switch when funding comes through.

They have used their allocation. Five Medicare sessions or an extras limit runs out. Private continues the work rather than stopping it partway.

They do not qualify. Not everyone fits a scheme, and not fitting one does not mean not needing help.

They want to choose. Private clients pick their clinician, their schedule and how often they come, without a plan defining it.

They want it uncomplicated. No claim numbers, no case manager, no approval requests.

What It Costs

You will be told the cost before your first appointment, including any travel charge and any fee for reports. Call us on 1300 765 456 and we will give you the figure for the service you need, in your area, before you commit to anything. No invoice should ever be a surprise.

Before You Pay, Check Whether Something Else Applies

It is worth two minutes, because several pathways would cost you nothing.

Are you over 65 and receiving aged care support? Support at Home funds nursing and allied health in full under clinical care, regardless of income or assets.

Are you an NDIS participant? Therapy related to your disability comes from your plan.

Do you have a chronic condition? A GP Chronic Condition Management Plan gives five rebated services per calendar year.

Do you have extras cover? Your fund may rebate part of the fee.

Was it a work injury or transport accident? WorkCover or TAC covers treatment, usually at no cost to you.

Are you a veteran? DVA may cover it with a valid referral.

Our intake team runs through this at your first call. We would rather you use funding you are entitled to than pay us for something that could be free.

5

Ongoing care on your terms

As often or as rarely as you want, with no plan dictating frequency.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?
No, for any of our services when paying privately.
Can I claim anything back?
If you have extras cover, yes. We provide a receipt with the details your fund needs. Without a GP referral you cannot claim a Medicare rebate.
Can I switch to funded care later?
Yes, and many people do. We will help with the evidence a funding application needs.
How much will it cost?
Call us and we will tell you, for the service you need and the area you are in. You will always know the cost before your first appointment.
Do you charge for travel?
Any travel charge is included in the figure we give you before you book, so there is nothing added afterwards.
Do you charge for reports?
Reports take clinical time and are usually charged separately. We will tell you the fee before we write one.
How quickly can I be seen?
Usually sooner than through a funded pathway, because there is no approval step. Call and we will give you a real answer for your area.
What is your cancellation policy?
We will explain it when you book, along with the notice period, so there are no surprises if something comes up.
