Funded therapy and nursing for people injured at work in Victoria.
inOne Healthcare is registered with WorkSafe Victoria only. We deliver workers compensation funded services under the Victorian scheme, and we are not registered with the schemes in other states. We bill the insurer directly and there is no gap fee. Where treatment is approved under an accepted claim, you pay nothing.

Workers compensation schemes are built around one idea: that staying connected to work, in some capacity, produces better outcomes than being off entirely until fully recovered.
What the evidence shows
That is not an insurer preference. It is what the evidence shows. Prolonged time off is associated with worse recovery, not better, and the longer someone is away the harder returning becomes.
What we work on
In practice it means we work on what you can do. Modified duties, reduced hours, changed tasks, altered equipment, and a plan that increases as capacity increases. Our reports say what you are capable of, with the restrictions that apply, so your employer has something specific to work with rather than a certificate that says 'unfit'.
Honest reporting
We will not overstate capacity to suit an insurer, and we will not understate it to suit a claim. The report says what the assessment found.
What You Pay
What You Pay
Nothing
Where treatment is approved under an accepted claim, we bill the insurer directly and there is no gap fee. You do not pay us and claim it back, and you are not left with a portion to cover yourself.
Claim not accepted yet?
If your claim has not been accepted yet, tell us. There are usually options rather than going untreated.
This page covers how to claim, what is funded, and what each service actually does.
The Scheme We Work Under
WorkSafe Victoria. Claims are managed by an agent acting for WorkSafe, and the contact number is 13 23 60. Some Victorian employers are self-insured and run their own scheme, and the process is much the same.
We are registered with WorkSafe Victoria and deliver workers compensation funded treatment under that scheme. We are not registered with icare NSW, WorkCover Queensland or the schemes in other states, so we cannot deliver treatment funded by those schemes.
If you were injured at work outside Victoria, call us anyway on 1300 765 456. We will tell you which body administers your claim and what to ask for, and we can still see you privately or under another funding pathway if one applies.
If your injury happened while driving for work in Victoria, a TAC claim may apply instead of, or alongside, your workers compensation claim.
What Is Funded With Us, and What Each Service Does
Physiotherapy
The most commonly used service. Assessment and active rehabilitation for back and neck injuries, shoulders, knees, sprains and strains, fractures and post-surgical recovery.
Progressive loading, graded return to duties, and advice on what you can safely do at work now rather than in six weeks.
The service that most directly addresses return to work. Worksite assessment, task and duty modification, equipment and workstation set-up, and graded return to work planning.
Also functional capacity assessment where the insurer or employer needs evidence of what you can currently do, and home assessment where an injury has affected daily living.
Lower limb and foot injury, and footwear or orthoses where standing, walking or gait has been affected, which is common in trade, warehouse, retail and hospitality claims.
Do this as soon as possible. Most schemes require notification within a set period, and a late report makes a claim harder to substantiate.
2
See your doctor and get a certificate
Your GP issues the Certificate of Capacity, which is the certificate the Victorian scheme requires. It states your diagnosis and what work you can safely do, and it is the document the whole claim runs on.
3
Lodge the claim
Through your employer, or directly with the insurer. You will receive a claim number.
4
Contact us
Call 1300 765 456 with your claim number, your insurer or agent, your employer, and your certificate. If your claim is not yet accepted, tell us, because treatment can often still begin.
5
We handle the approvals and reporting
Treatment plans, requests for further sessions, progress reports to your case manager, and liaison with your employer's return to work coordinator where you want that.
6
Treatment and return to work
Treatment runs alongside a graded return to work rather than waiting until you are fully recovered, because that is what the evidence supports.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be out of pocket?
No. We bill the insurer directly and there is no gap fee on approved treatment under an accepted claim.
I was injured at work in NSW or Queensland. Can you help?
Not under workers compensation. We are registered with WorkSafe Victoria only. Call us and we will tell you who administers your claim, and whether we can see you under another pathway in the meantime.
My claim hasn't been accepted yet. Can I be treated?
Often yes. Contact us and we will explain the options for the interim period.
How many sessions are covered?
Schemes generally fund an initial course, with further treatment continuing on clinical justification. We manage the requests and reporting.
Do I need a referral?
You need the medical certificate from your doctor. Our team will tell you exactly what your scheme requires.
Will you talk to my employer?
With your consent, yes. Return to work works considerably better when the employer knows what you can safely do.
What if my injury happened driving for work?
A TAC claim may apply instead of, or alongside, workers compensation in Victoria. We can help you work out which.
Can I choose my own provider?
Generally yes. You do not have to use a provider nominated by the insurer.
Can I be treated at home?
Yes, where travel is difficult. Clinic appointments are available at Roxburgh Park.
