NDIS Assessments
An FCA is an occupational therapy assessment that shows how your disability affects your everyday life. Not your diagnosis, what you can actually do, what you struggle with, and what support would change that.
The NDIS uses it to decide what is reasonable and necessary to fund. A vague report gets a vague plan. A clear one, backed by evidence, gets a plan that matches your real needs.
Our Brisbane OTs assess you in your own home and community, because that is where the real barriers are.
What We Do
A full Functional Capacity Assessment in your own home and community, at a time that suits you.
Clear, evidence-based reports linking what you find hard to the specific supports and funding you need.
Assistive technology and home modification assessments, with the reports and quotes your funding request needs.
Housing and living arrangement assessments where your support needs or where you live are changing.

I'm Gemma, an Occupational Therapist, and I have the pleasure of working with young adults through to older adults. I especially enjoy helping those with complex neurological conditions like brain injuries, strokes, or Parkinson's, as well as supporting older adults in staying safe and comfortable in their own homes. Building rapport and creating a comfortable, supportive environment is at the heart of my practice.

Hi, I'm Brydie, an Occupational Therapist. I love working with a range of people from young adults to older adults, and I enjoy working with people in their homes to understand their stories and build rapport in their own environment. I have experience working with people with neurological conditions including brain injury, stroke, Parkinson's and MS, and I also work with older adults to keep them safe and independent within their own homes.
NDIS Evidence
Your OT comes to your home for an initial assessment. You talk through what a normal day looks like, what you find difficult, and what you would like to be able to do.
Then they watch you do some everyday things, making a drink, moving around the house, getting to the bathroom, whatever is relevant. They will look at your home, your equipment and your access.
Most FCAs take one or two visits of around two hours. Family, carers and support workers are welcome to be there. Your OT will confirm the time and cost before anything goes ahead.
The Report
Recommendations may include support worker assistance, therapy and allied health services, assistive technology, home modifications, capacity building supports, community participation, SIL, SDA or ongoing rehabilitation.
Adults living with stroke, acquired brain injury, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, autism, psychosocial disability, chronic pain and fatigue conditions, and other complex disabilities.
Service Area
Our mobile Occupational Therapists travel across greater Brisbane. Select your region to see the suburbs we cover. We also provide occupational therapy across the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan and the Sunshine Coast.

Clear recommendations, delivered to you and, with your consent, to your support team.
If more therapy is recommended, we can keep working with you on your goals.
