Occupational Therapy

Brydie Allen

Senior Occupational Therapist

Primary Location

Southeast Queensland

Brydie Allen is an Occupational Therapist at InOne Healthcare, working across Southeast Queensland. Brydie loves working with a range of people from young adults to older adults, and enjoys working with people in their homes to understand their stories and build rapport in their own environment. She has experience working with people with neurological conditions including brain injury, stroke, Parkinson's and MS to meet their goals, and also works with older adults to keep them safe and independent within their own homes. Brydie was drawn to occupational therapy after seeing OTs work with older adults in her family and through volunteering. Seeing how holistic OTs are and how they consider all aspects of a person, their environment and what people need and want to do is what made her want to become an OT. She has always enjoyed listening to people tell their stories, and now enjoys listening and helping people overcome barriers in their life. An important phrase to Brydie in OT is 'if you don't ask, you don't know' — she loves how many endless possibilities there are with OT and how many ways there are to connect with clients.
