Hi, I'm Brydie, an Occupational Therapist. I love working with a range of people from young adults to older adults, and I enjoy working with people in their homes to understand their stories and build rapport in their own environment. I have experience working with people with neurological conditions including brain injury, stroke, Parkinson's and MS, and I also work with older adults to keep them safe and independent within their own homes.

How Our Western Sydney OT Team Supports You
Support at Home Clinical Care
Occupational therapy sits within the clinical care category of the Support at Home program, which replaced Home Care Packages from 1 November 2025. Clinical care services are fully funded by the government, regardless of income or assets, there is no means-tested contribution for occupational therapy.
AT-HM Scheme Assessments
The AT-HM scheme provides funding for equipment and home modifications that is separate from, and upfront of, the rest of a person's Support at Home budget. It is one of the most under-used entitlements in aged care, largely because people do not know it exists.
Falls Prevention & Home Safety

We also work with residential aged care providers across Western Sydney, and accept private referrals from people who would rather not wait for funding to be approved.

Falls Prevention, Reablement & Cognitive Support
Falls Prevention & Home Safety
A fall is rarely caused by one thing. It is usually the combination of reduced strength, a medication side effect, poor lighting, a loose mat and a task the person should not have been attempting alone.
Our home safety and falls prevention assessments look at the whole picture, the person, the task and the environment, and produce a plan that addresses all three. That may include equipment, modifications, changes to how a task is done, referral to physiotherapy for strength and balance work, education for family, or a change to the support schedule.
After Hospital: Reablement and Restorative Care
Coming home after a hospital admission is the point at which many older people lose independence permanently. Early occupational therapy makes a measurable difference.
We provide short-term, goal-focused reablement following hospital discharge, illness, surgery or a fall, rebuilding confidence and function in showering, dressing, meal preparation, mobility and community access, and putting the right equipment in place before problems set in. We welcome referrals from Westmead, Blacktown, Nepean and Liverpool discharge planners, transition care teams and aged care providers.
Living Well with Dementia and Cognitive Change
Cognitive change affects daily function long before it affects memory alone. Our Occupational Therapists assess how dementia, mild cognitive impairment, stroke or other conditions are affecting safety, routine, decision-making and daily activity, and provide:
We Also Support
NDIS Occupational Therapy in Western Sydney
We also support NDIS participants throughout Western Sydney. Our Occupational Therapists complete Functional Capacity Assessments, home modification and assistive technology assessments, SIL and SDA reports, and provide ongoing capacity-building therapy for adults with neurological, cognitive and functional conditions, including stroke, acquired brain injury, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, intellectual disability and autism.
We work with plan-managed and self-managed participants, and liaise directly with support coordinators, plan managers and Local Area Coordinators.
Funded Entitlement
Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) Scheme
The AT-HM scheme provides funding for equipment and home modifications that is separate from, and upfront of, the rest of a person's Support at Home budget. It is one of the most under-used entitlements in aged care, largely because people do not know it exists.
Funding is provided across three tiers within a 12-month access period:
Low tier
up to $500
Medium tier
up to $2,000
High tier
up to $15,000
More complex equipment and any home modification generally require assessment and prescription by a health professional, usually an occupational therapist. That is where we come in. Our Occupational Therapists complete the assessment, document the clinical justification, specify exactly what is required, and prepare the report needed to support the funding request, then review the outcome once the equipment arrives or the work is complete, to make sure it actually works for the person.

Assessment happens in the home, at a time that suits. Family and carers are welcome to be there, and we can arrange an interpreter.
You receive clear recommendations
Equipment, modifications, strategies and supports, documented with the clinical justification needed to support funding.
We follow through
We can review equipment once it arrives, check modifications once completed, and provide ongoing therapy where it will help.
