Movement Is What Makes Everything Else Possible

Almost everything a person wants to do depends on being able to move, getting out of bed, getting to the toilet in time, getting to the car, getting to work, getting to see people. When movement becomes difficult, the losses compound quickly and quietly.

Our Ipswich Physiotherapists work at that pressure point. We assess how a person actually moves through their day, find what is genuinely limiting them, and treat it, with hands-on treatment where it helps, and with correctly dosed, progressive exercise where that is what will produce change.

We work with two groups across Ipswich: NDIS participants building movement capacity toward their own goals, and older Australians funded through aged care who want to stay living safely at home. Both are delivered the same way, at home, at a time that suits.

NDIS

NDIS Physiotherapy in Ipswich

For NDIS participants, physiotherapy is about capacity, the physical ability to do more, with less support, more safely, for longer. Where a condition is progressive, the goal shifts to maintaining function and comfort for as long as possible, and we are explicit with participants and families about which of those we are working toward.

Aged Care

Physiotherapy for Older Australians in Ipswich

Strength and balance decline quietly, and most people do not notice until they are holding the furniture on the way to the kitchen or have stopped going out because the front steps feel unsafe. That loss is significant by the time it is obvious, and in most cases it is reversible.

A lot of Ipswich housing was not built for reduced mobility. Steep front and back stairs, high steps, long paths. That matters, because the goal is not to improve strength in the abstract; it is to get the person safely up and down the stairs of the house they actually live in.

What We Work On

What we work on with older clients

Rehabilitation after joint replacement, fracture or hospital admission
Exercise programs for osteoporosis, cardiac, respiratory and diabetic conditions
Contracture management and passive movement programs

Support at Home funding

Physiotherapy sits within the clinical care category of the Support at Home program, which replaced Home Care Packages from 1 November 2025. Clinical care is fully funded by the government regardless of income or assets, there is no means-tested contribution. We work alongside Support at Home providers and care partners across Ipswich, and provide reports and care plan input directly to them.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation After Hospital, Surgery or a Fall

The weeks after discharge are when function is most recoverable and most easily lost for good. We provide in-home rehabilitation after joint replacement, fracture, stroke, cardiac and respiratory admissions, prolonged illness, ICU stays or general decline.

Programs are short, goal-focused and measurable. We welcome referrals from Ipswich Hospital and St Andrew's Ipswich discharge planners, transition care teams and aged care providers.
