Physiotherapy Where Movement Actually Happens

A physiotherapy gym is a controlled environment. A home is not. The step at the back door is a particular height, the hallway is a particular width, the chair is too low and the bathroom floor is slippery when wet, and those specifics are what determine whether someone stays independent.

Our Gold Coast Physiotherapists assess and treat in the places people actually move. Because we work in the home and community, we see the real obstacles rather than a description of them, which means the exercise program targets what is genuinely limiting the person, and the progress we measure is progress that shows up in daily life.

We support two groups on the Gold Coast: older Australians funded through aged care who want to keep living safely at home, and NDIS participants building movement capacity toward their own goals. Both are core work for our team, and both are delivered the same way, at home, at a time that suits.

Aged Care

Physiotherapy for Older Australians on the Gold Coast

Strength and balance decline quietly. Most people do not notice until they are holding the furniture on the way to the kitchen, or have stopped going out because the kerbs feel unsafe. By then the loss is significant, but in most cases it is reversible.

Physiotherapy is the most effective single intervention for that decline, and resistance training works at any age. We regularly build measurable strength in people in their eighties and nineties, including those managing several chronic conditions at once. What matters is that the dose is right and the progression is real, which is exactly what a physiotherapist is for.

What We Work On

What we work on with older clients

Walking distance, walking speed and gait quality
Sit-to-stand, bed mobility and transfers

Support at Home funding

Physiotherapy sits within the clinical care category of the Support at Home program, which replaced Home Care Packages from 1 November 2025. Clinical care is fully funded by the government regardless of income or assets, there is no means-tested contribution for physiotherapy. We work alongside Support at Home providers and care partners across the Gold Coast, and can provide reports, recommendations and care plan input directly to them.

NDIS

NDIS Physiotherapy on the Gold Coast

For NDIS participants, physiotherapy is about capacity, the physical ability to do more of what matters, with less support, more safely, for longer.

Our Physiotherapists work with participants living with neurological conditions, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, intellectual disability, autism, chronic pain and complex physical disability. We assess movement, set goals with the participant, and build programs that produce functional gains rather than sessions that simply continue.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation After Hospital or Surgery

The weeks after discharge are when function is most recoverable, and most easily lost for good. We provide in-home rehabilitation after joint replacement, fracture, stroke, cardiac and respiratory admissions, prolonged illness, ICU stays or general decline.

Programs are short, goal-focused and measurable, aimed at returning the person to their previous level of function or as close to it as possible. We welcome referrals from Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital and private hospital discharge planners, transition care teams and aged care providers.
